biography
Marijke Vasey is an Anglo-Belgian artist now based in Saône-et-Loire in France.
Initially inspired by medieval tapestries, her frames paintings have evolved into portals into different atmospheres where minimalism and ornamentation are playfully juxtaposed.
A graduate of Goldsmiths College, London, she completed an MFA in Fine Art in 2019.
She previously completed a BA (Hons) in Fine Art Painting at Wimbledon School of Art, and an MA in Cultural and Critical Theory at the University of Brighton.
